Chris Petefish isn't a former player who transitioned to coaching.
His journey started as a top 5 recruit in the 2014 class, continued as a standout at Georgia Tech, and took him inside the top 45 amateurs in the world before turning professional. In 2023 he reached a peak ranking of 288 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

With Chris Petefish, you are going to learn the importance of why you need to track your golf data, but where do you start and which of the many platforms fits your needs? Chris Petefish is certified in all the major strokes gained analysis platforms and will ensure you have the right fit.
Personalized Strokes Gained and Course Approach Consultations
Now that you have a strokes gained platform and have inputed some rounds, do you know exactly what to do with the information? Taking the information out of context will do more harm than good to your performance. Chris will draw on his expertise to explain your scores. Learn what drives your success and how simple changes will lead to rapid improvement. Chris has an innate ability to take complex data and apply it to work for you. Some of these examples include improvements from course strategy, potential anomalies in the data, and even suggesting course fits to give you that extra edge on the competition.
Course Management
There has never been more talent in the game of golf than right now, which means it has become even more difficult to stand out. We believe in proven course strategies, which are essential in succeeding in today’s game. Chris’s story is proof of that. Whether you work with Chris on a full or part time basis, we can dive into the data to gain many valuable insights. This analysis will range from a client’s specific strokes gained data to evaluating course strategy opportunities.
Player to Coach Cheat sheets
At Course of Action Golf, we are not here to replace your swing or be a short game coach. We want to optimize the way in which you work with your coach. Based on your golf data, Chris will create a collaborative document highlighting current strengths of your game, as well as specific areas of improvement for you and your coach to attack together.
College Preparation & Tournament Preparation
Let Chris guide you through navigating the journey into college golf, and how to best be equipped to play great golf once you arrive. Learn how to prepare during a practice round the way the PGA Tour professionals do. There are tournament preparation hacks the top players in the world use and Chris can teach you.
In Person Work
Spend either a half or full day with Chris Petefish going through a combination of how course strategy intertwines with strokes gained. Chris will meet with you to have a pre-meeting overview and gain knowledge on your game in order to be prepared for the day. There is an option for a 9 or 18 hole half day or full day program. Chris will discuss strokes gained platform placement and everything that encompasses course strategy as well as answer any questions you may have.
The Fish Tank
The Fish Tank is a unique opportunity to work with a professional golfer as a part of an ongoing partnership that includes all the above services, including valuable zoom and app mentorship. Chris will have access to track your player’s data on a daily basis, much like a financial planner tracks his or her client’s portfolio. Chris will then be able to communicate with the client via the chosen platform to debrief on their rounds and then recommend practice drills moving forward. There will be a limited amount of roster spots available for The Fish Tank to ensure every client receives the highest quality of service.
